Early morning, remembering that I haven't taken any photos with Amir, I grabbed him (who was lying on the sofa) and camwhored.
So cute!
Lazing around...
Our last breakfast.
Wan Zhen forced me to do this.
We arrived about half an hour late at the community hall for a cooking demostration to make dodol.
From left; Sugar, Coconut Milk, Sugar
The ingredients for dodol. Basically it's just tons and tons of sugar in every single form.
Ingredients for ketupat-like thing.
Helpingto squeeze coconut juice!
Me!
Of course soon after everyone got bored and decided to walk away from the tent (and also because it was really hot and smoky inside).
And I played with the kids
While going back once in a while to help out.
The guys helping to pound the padi.
She's called Aina too! So pretty!
So pretty right! But she's super shy.
Tossing out the shells / skins of the padi
Hard at work. HAHA
Thats Up and Lookpla helping to fill the bamboo with rice.
Then we help to shave the coconut so that we can extract coconut milk
Hard at work again.
He does it super well!
Wiinnii (Yes, her name is spelled this way.)
Then I spotted Yile and Letts staring blankly at this little kid whom I had played with earlier. I asked them what they did to the kid, and they told me they found him sitting there alone emoing.
*emo*
*emo*
*emo*
He just turned away when the others talked to him or patted him. I asked his mommy for his name and called him by his name (Adam) but he was still super sad. So Yile and I lifted him up in his chair and he started smiling a little! But he went back to his emo self almost immediately after we put him down.
Having been in Gift of Reading for so long, I know more or less how to deal with (emo) kids. So pro me had Adam stuck to me like a little koala. He got upset when others talked to him or carried him and only allowed me to do so. *Smug* Cute Adam having a drink.
But I had to leave Adam as we had to go to the Scholar's museum. Adam only let go when his mom told him to. I'd wanted to bring him along :P
At the Scholar’s museum, I banged my head as I walked down the stairs to the backyard and fell down because the doorway is damn small, and Peeraphat kept laughing at me and say that the sharp object at the doorway which totally killed me has ‘done well’ -.-
Tay (from Laos) taught us ‘Pi Ba’ which means crazy. So everyone started calling everyone ‘Pi Ba’ and we told Phee it meant handsome. He was so happy!
Dong Bang at work
Now for 2 super funny videos! Don't understand why peeraphat is so damn funny!
Sunglasses (Peeraphat & Tay) - Turn down volume as the rest were singing in the background
P: What's this? (Looks at sunglasses) Oooo, sunglasses!
T: *Screams*
P: *Screams*
Interview (Phee and Peeraphat)
Following that was a shopping trip at the town. We were all super excited yet sad because we didn’t bring our wallets with us, thinking it was just a normal day of activities around the kampong. There was no time to go back to get our wallets as our home was quite far from the community hall. In the end we ended up borrowing money from Mr Tan! I bought a pair of gladiator sandals and that’s about it. [As usual shopping no photos]
We walked around the town and I tried their bubble tea- it sucks! DF’s peppermint tea was no better… But our lunch of charsiew, roasted meat and roasted chicken was heavenly, and it was sooo cheap! RM30 = Less that S$15 for 7 persons!
Went home for our last lunch at the host home and it was especially good.Host family's car. They have another one in black.
Host Home.
We then went over to the guys' host home for our handicraft making session. The little devil at their host family (above). She's super whiny. But damn cute.
Haha.
Materials. Rubber tree leaves. According to the speaker, they wash it in the washing machine to rid of the chlorophyll!
My rose...
Completed rose..
Spray painted rose. Sorry for the blurred picture, didn't realise it was blurred. Anyway I gave it to my host mom [:
Went back home to rest! It was supposed to be preparation for cultural performance but we slacked.
Miss Oon asked Aina to draw pictures! On one of the days, I drew a bird, and Miss Oon drew a tree around to bird to show the bird sitting on the tree. Then Aina had quite a big reaction, she started saying stuff in Malay which we didn't understand, and then she took the pencil, and DREW IN BRANCHES.
She had meant that the bird cannot sit on the tree without branches. HAHA
Love Aina and Amir!
Amir is so adorable and he does adorable things with the stuff I gave them.

Dinner time! The food gets more and more delicious. Last dinner.
The closing ceremony started off with speeches from the country delegates.
Malaysia
Laos
Singapore.
Cambodia
Brunei (She's damn pretty)
Indonesia
Thailand
Heheh.
The minister
Cultural performance by kids of Kampong Lonek
Cambodia's performance. They are super funny man, especially Ana and her partner. They did the lip-sync thing and it was like a low-budget MV haha.
Cultural performance was kind of screwed for Singapore because we were totally unprepared! In anycase, we did our best and the other participants were super supportive of us though the ministers sitting at front row were dozing off!
Aina came to send us off! Amir didn't come as he sleeps by 8pm.
Nur Hah. Aina's friend.
The thais’ performance consisted of a dance and muay thai demonstration. The dance by Up and Lookpla was damn nice, though they were super stressed because their teacher was super strict. Muay thai demonstration was by Peeraphat with May introducing.
As May spoke about Muay Thai, Peeraphat got ready on stage. Initially he was super serious and was doing warm-ups, then he saw May and I taking photos of him and he started winking at May and I - I couldn’t stop laughing!
Btw the way Peeraphat is a thai boxer too! Damn hiong luh! He's not wearing his boxing pants and he lost his at Pearl International Hotel. The blue thing he's wearing is Phong (Laos) 's traditional pants.
As the closing ceremony ended, everyone spammed photos. Nicky started crying, and so did Peeraphat and Phee. Peeraphat was such a tough, funny and sporty person that I didn’t think he’d cry. Gosh! Phee was silently sobbing as expected because he’s a really sensitive (but huge) guy, while Nicky was just crying and talking at the same time.
From left; Peeraphat, Me, Aina, Shirley
Peeraphat gave me a thailand tee!
Aina and Yile. As can be seen she wasn't very happy :P
Chhun and I.
Cheryl (Malaysia), Aina and I
The Thai teacher and us! She wanted DF and I to tell Miss Ek we met her.
Ian, Aina and I
Sand, Aina and May
We then went back home (albeit very unwillingly)...
It was super dark despite using flash... The guy beside Wan Zhen is their youngest son.My host parents.
