This week seems to be a good week for me as I've been pretty lucky.

Went shopping for Elizabeth's present, and it so happens that Vivo is holding some exhibition / sale of the works of Thai fashion designers. I found this pretty blazer which I've been looking for for such a loooooong while. In the colour, material, length and cutting I want!

And it was only 40 bucks!

My 18th Birthday Celebrations Part III

I arrived late due to stupid bus-drivers... Anyway shortly after we were done with the big book, tard told me to go down and get construction paper. I went downstairs and couldn't find any, so I took the lift back up. The moment the door opened, I got a shock as Haqeem was standing like SUPER close to the door. But Haqeem also got a shock so we had a good laugh over it.

I walked in to see the children seated in a circle, and by tard's signal, they sang "Happy Birthday" for me.
And I was presented with this chosen by twin!

I love Gift of Reading!

They were absolutely so sweet! Though I was slightly disappointed Alirah wasn't around :(

Then we were taught how to fold hearts by Qian Hui.

I've never seen Xin Rui so focused before. Xin Rui has short attention spans and shes usually running around; she's really changed a lot and I am glad for her.

Xin Rui... Behind her's Si Rui, her elder sis. I remember Si Rui looked exactly like how Xin Rui looks now a few years back. One day I should develop the photos (: I remember Si Rui used to not like taking photos when she was younger, but now she's fine with it! Yay.

Then we took another picture when this really AA girl came over and joined us when we didn't even ask her! Then she started like posing and I was like ?!!!

And then after debrief, I went to dump the cake boxes. When I came back, Jade and Darren were there with a hello kitty helium balloon!

I was so so so surprised because I just met up with them yesterday and didn't expect them to spring a suprise visit on me during gift! They left after passing me da balloon and I stayed to play cards with a few.

Woohooo.

My 18th Birthday Celebrations Part II

After the celebration with Juat and gang, I went home to sleep a little before going for gift of reading as I wasn't feeling well. I felt worse when I woke up, though!

Elizabeth totally had me fooled because I thought she was going to crash my house like on 24th itself.

I was stunned when I saw her with gan's guitar...
And even more when I saw this awfullychocolate cake! I didn't expect them to really get me this because it's a little expensive.

I was so, so, so, touched.

I was chatting with them when Elizabeth told me that they were downstairs lighting up the candles, when a little girl approached them.

Girl: Do you need help?

Them: Nope, thanks!

Eli: Do you know Wai Min?

Girl: Noo....

Eli: The eyes big big, long hair and a bit crazy one?

Girl: Oh yes, she always like to take photos with me!

It turned out to be Gabrielle, my favourite kid! All my kids don't know my name because in Gift of Reading, I am called Da Jie (as in mafia boss and not big sister) by all the volunteers.

When I re-entered the session room, Gabrielle immediately came up and said, "I know today is your birthday."

Then I told her no it's tomorrow, and I asked her if she wanted any cake. And I saved a slice for her before departing for JP where I was supposed to meet Jade and Darren. When I reached JP, I got an SMS from Andala which says, "Gabrielle says thank you and happy birthday to you."

Anyway...

Thanks to my 3 besties, I'm really grateful for all you've done and the effort you put in. Thank you guys!

HC OGmate + besties Outing
Met up at Vivo. Was at Candy Empire when Juat called and told me she's outside Candy Empire. Then as we were about to go up, Song Yi suddenly floated out form behind the pillar with his friend.

It was meant to be a surprise. -.-

Song Yi brought his new boyfriend along, and I thought his new bf looked like Hu Yuan (a bit luh). We had Carl's Junior and Yu Teng met his Track friends there!

It's starting on a high note, and I want it to end with a big bang. This year seems promising, and I really hope it'll be fulfilling.

I'm hereby chucking all the disappointments of yesteryear away, and swearing to live my 18th year to the fullest. May my 18th year be rewarding and fulfiling!
